We're looking for a Data Centre Technician/Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced data center environment in Malaysia. Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, racks, and cooling systems.
• Perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting for Oracle servers and storage.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to minimize downtime.
• Manage cabling, power distribution, and environmental controls in the data center.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, executing recovery procedures efficiently.
• Document all activities, changes, and issues using Oracle's ticketing and CMDB systems.
• Collaborate with global teams on capacity planning, upgrades, and new deployments.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, security protocols, and data center best practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations or hardware support.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware (e.g., Oracle SPARC, x86), networking, and Linux/Unix.
• Experience with DCIM tools, monitoring systems, and ticketing platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in 24/7 shift rotations.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin a plus. Willingness to work in Malaysia.
