Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, and open table formats like Iceberg.
• Implement and manage Unity Catalog for governance and metadata management in open data ecosystems.
• Develop scalable data processing workflows on AWS clusters and cloud-native environments.
• Integrate and migrate data from traditional RDBMS to modern data lakes and warehouses.
• Write efficient SQL and NoSQL queries to support analytics and machine learning workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality, performant datasets.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across distributed data platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune data infrastructure for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with Databricks, Snowflake, or open table formats.
• Hands-on expertise with Apache Iceberg and catalog solutions like Unity Catalog.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services, Python/Scala, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.
