Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Engineer with expertise in AWS, Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL to lead complex data migration projects at Oracle in India. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement solutions to migrate large volumes of data from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms. You will ensure data integrity, accuracy, and minimal downtime throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable data migration strategies using AWS and Databricks.
• Develop Python and PySpark scripts for ETL processes and data transformations.
• Execute data migrations from on-premises legacy systems to cloud environments.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance testing.
• Optimize migration pipelines for performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies during and post-migration.
• Document migration processes and create knowledge-sharing resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data migration and ETL development.
• Expertise in AWS services (S3, Glue, EMR) and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and cloud migration best practices.
