Job Description

Overview

The Strategic Customer Service Manager (SCSM) is an individual contributor role providing strategic customers with guidance and support for successful use of Oracle's Cloud/Exadata Database technology. Requires solid technical background in Oracle core products like Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard, plus understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and modern IT practices. Based in Bucharest, Romania, the role demands technical expertise and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic guidance to key customers on Cloud/Exadata Database optimization and adoption.
  • Provide technical support for Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard implementations.
  • Analyze customer environments to recommend best practices for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve complex technical challenges in engineered systems.
  • Advise on cloud computing, virtualization, and hybrid IT strategies.
  • Conduct workshops and knowledge sessions on Oracle database technologies.
  • Monitor customer success metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise between customers and Oracle product teams for feature feedback and escalations.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in Oracle Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and engineered systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers in modern IT environments.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills with leadership qualities.
  • Proven track record in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Oracle certifications preferred.
