Overview

Intended for students graduating with their Doctorate degree by December 2025, or who have graduated within 12 months of start date. Oracle Generative AI Service is an exciting team in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivering innovative services at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. In the Generative AI Service team, you will build and operate massive-scale cloud services leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop generative AI models for cloud-scale applications.
• Build and optimize large-scale ML training and inference pipelines.
• Conduct advanced research in generative AI and multimodal models.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production OCI services.
• Experiment with cutting-edge techniques like transformers, diffusion models, and RLHF.
• Analyze and improve model performance, efficiency, and safety at scale.
• Contribute to open-source projects and publish research findings.
• Work cross-functionally with product, platform, and customer teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field (graduating by Dec 2025 or within 12 months of start).
• Strong publication record in top AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.).
• Deep expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Experience with large-scale distributed training and model optimization.
• Proficiency in generative models (LLMs, diffusion, GANs, VAEs).
• Excellent Python programming skills and cloud infrastructure knowledge.
