Job Description

Overview

Oracle is seeking a highly experienced Electronics Engineer to join a small team specializing in power electronics for new product development and sustaining engineering. The role focuses on core power products including power supplies, power shelves, Battery Backup Units (BBUs), and rack-mounted power distribution units. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of expertise in switchmode power supplies and rack-level battery systems, with strong skills in testing, validation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop switchmode power supplies and power shelves for high-reliability applications.
  • Engineer rack-level Battery Backup Units (BBUs) and power distribution systems.
  • Perform detailed testing, validation, and characterization of power electronics hardware.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new power technologies into products.
  • Support sustaining engineering for existing power products, including failure analysis and improvements.
  • Conduct compliance testing for safety, EMC, and environmental standards.
  • Prototype and iterate hardware designs using schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Document designs, test results, and provide technical support to manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in switchmode power supply design and rack-level battery systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise in power electronics, including topologies like LLC, phase-shifted full-bridge, and digital control.
  • Strong proficiency in testing, validation, and debugging of analog/digital power circuits.
  • Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence) and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers).
  • Proven track record of bringing power products to market with cross-functional teams.
