Overview

Oracle's Hardware Development Organization seeks an experienced Hardware Technician 3 to join our Server Development team in Santa Clara, CA. You'll work on cutting-edge cloud and AI servers in a fast-paced R&D environment. Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototype server hardware components and systems.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, integration, and validation for cloud and AI servers.
  • Execute debug and failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and thermal issues.
  • Conduct reliability testing, including stress, burn-in, and environmental simulations.
  • Document test procedures, results, and anomalies for engineering review.
  • Support firmware and software teams during system-level integration.
  • Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and safety protocols in the R&D lab.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a hardware technician in server or high-performance computing.
  • Strong knowledge of server architecture, motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, and memory systems.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting (Bash/Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
