Overview

Oracle is seeking a skilled Incident Response Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Reston, VA. This role involves detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across cloud and on-premise environments for US Government clients. US Government clearance is required to support mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and investigate potential incidents using SIEM tools and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis on security events and develop detailed incident reports.
• Contain and eradicate threats through forensic analysis and remediation actions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams during incident response and recovery efforts.
• Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify advanced persistent threats.
• Update and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.
• Provide post-incident debriefs and recommend improvements to security controls.
• Collaborate with US Government stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal standards.

Qualifications

• Active US Government security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity incident response.
• Proficiency with Oracle Cloud, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK), and EDR tools.
• Strong knowledge of networking, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.
• Experience with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
