The Lead Data Center Inventory Control Specialist (IC4) at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) manages and optimizes inventory operations in a mission-critical data center environment in Abilene, TX. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory control processes to maintain 100% accuracy in data center assets.
- Lead cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and implement process improvements for global inventory management standards.
- Mentor and guide junior inventory staff, fostering skill development and team performance.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and engineering teams for optimal inventory flow.
- Ensure compliance with OCI policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and minimize stockouts or overages.
- Manage inventory reporting and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, preferably in data centers or high-tech environments.
- Proven leadership experience mentoring teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP).
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL).
- Hands-on experience with warehouse operations, cycle counting, and asset tracking.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; relevant certifications a plus.
