Position Overview

The Learning Designer will serve as the owner of content development within Oracle's Healthcare venue, building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive effective learning solutions. This role involves producing high-quality, engaging content that adheres to Oracle's established development processes and aligns with healthcare industry needs. The ideal candidate will blend instructional design expertise with a passion for healthcare education to create impactful learning experiences that support Oracle's customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end content development process for Healthcare learning programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers, and Healthcare stakeholders to gather requirements and design tailored learning solutions.
  • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and interactive assessments using industry-standard tools.
  • Apply adult learning principles and healthcare-specific best practices to create engaging, effective, and accessible content.
  • Conduct needs assessments and performance gap analyses to recommend optimal learning strategies for Healthcare audiences.
  • Review and iterate on content based on feedback, pilot testing, and performance metrics to continuously improve learning outcomes.
  • Ensure all content complies with Oracle's development standards, branding guidelines, and regulatory requirements in the Healthcare sector.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of learning solutions using analytics and learner feedback.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in healthcare education, instructional design, and e-learning technologies to innovate content delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design or learning content development, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or life sciences context.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing e-learning content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience building relationships across diverse teams and business units.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies to deliver content on time and within scope.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for creating clear, concise, and engaging learning materials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Healthcare Education.
  • Experience with Oracle products, healthcare software solutions, or enterprise learning management systems (LMS).
  • Certification in instructional design (e.g., ATD CPTD, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).
  • Familiarity with AI-driven learning tools, microlearning, or gamification techniques.
  • Previous experience in a corporate training environment within a technology company.
