As Legal Counsel in Taiwan, you will provide expert legal advice on corporate matters, contracts, compliance, and risk management. Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor negotiations.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA), and industry standards in Taiwan and APAC.
• Support M&A transactions, due diligence, and corporate governance initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including SaaS, cloud services, and IP licenses.
• Manage litigation, disputes, and intellectual property protection strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product launches, partnerships, and risk mitigation.
• Conduct legal research and provide guidance on labor, employment, and anti-corruption laws.
• Develop and implement legal policies to support Oracle's cloud and enterprise software business.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent law degree with active bar admission in Taiwan or relevant jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of experience as in-house counsel or law firm attorney in tech/software industry.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan commercial law, data protection, and international contracts.
• Excellent English and Mandarin proficiency; additional Chinese dialects a plus.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume contract work and strategic legal advising.
• Tech-savvy with understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise software models.
