Oracle is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to tackle challenging problems at the system and data-plane level in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance system and data-plane components for cloud services.
  • Optimize networking stacks for low-latency and high-throughput data processing.
  • Develop and maintain distributed systems handling massive scale and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical roadmaps.
  • Debug complex issues in production environments using advanced troubleshooting tools.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and internal tools enhancing platform capabilities.
  • Perform performance tuning and benchmarking of critical system components.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems programming (C/C++, Rust, or Go).
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, RDMA, QUIC).
  • Proficiency in Linux kernel development or user-space networking (DPDK, eBPF).
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, OCI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
