Overview

Supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment. Collaborates with teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud networking services. Drives innovation in network architecture for Oracle's cloud computing platform in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable network architectures for OCI global data centers.
• Deploy and configure virtual cloud networks (VCNs), gateways, and load balancers.
• Monitor and optimize network performance using OCI tools and telemetry.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues in multi-region environments.
• Automate network provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, and OCI APIs.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement network security controls.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting for global network growth.
• Contribute to on-call rotations for production network operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with 5+ years in cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networking services.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, SDN, and cloud networking protocols.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• CCIE or equivalent certification; OCI certifications preferred.
