Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to achieve 99.99% uptime for OCI services.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
• Design and implement network reliability improvements, including redundancy and failover systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new network features and services.
• Perform root cause analysis on network incidents and develop preventive measures.
• Automate network monitoring and alerting using scripting languages like Python or Ansible.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for global network infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network reliability support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or operations roles.
• Deep expertise with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, TCP/IP).
• Experience with network hardware from Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, Prometheus).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go) and automation experience.
