Position Overview

As the NPI Materials Program Manager 3, you will lead supply chain product lifecycle activities for New Product Introduction (NPI), working closely with Supply Chain and Design Engineering teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to production. This role demands strategic oversight of materials management, supplier coordination, and risk mitigation to drive on-time launches and cost efficiencies. Based in the United States, you will play a pivotal role in Oracle's hardware and cloud infrastructure initiatives, fostering collaboration across global teams to deliver high-quality products to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain activities for NPI programs, coordinating with Design Engineering to align materials sourcing with product design specifications.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive materials lifecycle plans, including procurement strategies, inventory management, and obsolescence mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify supply chain risks and implement proactive solutions to ensure program timelines are met.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiations to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance for critical components.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and volume forecasting for NPI materials.
  • Monitor program metrics, such as yield rates, lead times, and cost variances, and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews to optimize materials selection and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with logistics and quality assurance teams to resolve material-related issues during prototype and production ramps.
  • Utilize ERP systems and supply chain tools to track materials flow and maintain accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) data.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements in NPI materials management practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years focused on NPI or product lifecycle processes.
  • Proven track record leading materials programs in hardware or electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory control, and supplier management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle SCM, SAP) and advanced planning tools for materials forecasting.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with engineering, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and drive data-driven decisions in fast-paced settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or MBA.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing or cloud hardware NPI within the technology sector.
  • Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or equivalent supply chain credential.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud SCM applications and tools.
  • Knowledge of international trade compliance, tariffs, and global sourcing strategies.
