Overview

The Nurse Informatics Executive supports VA’s Federal EHR deployment and advances clinical informatics initiatives to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes. This role leads the integration of nursing practice with health IT systems, optimizing workflows and data utilization across clinical environments. Based in the United States, the position drives innovation in patient-centered care through informatics expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead Federal EHR deployment initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with nursing workflows.
• Develop and implement clinical informatics strategies to improve patient safety and outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design user-friendly EHR interfaces for nurses.
• Analyze clinical data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
• Provide training and support to nursing staff on informatics tools and systems.
• Champion evidence-based practices through informatics solutions and reporting.
• Evaluate and optimize health IT systems for compliance with VA standards and regulations.
• Drive innovation in telehealth and remote monitoring informatics applications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and Master's degree in Nursing Informatics or related field.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience with 3+ years in health informatics.
• Proven expertise in EHR systems, preferably Cerner or Epic.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, data analytics, and interoperability standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in federal healthcare environments, such as VA, preferred.
