Overview

The OCI Software Engineer Intern role is part of Oracle's Veteran Internship Program (OVIP), designed for US Veterans transitioning from active service or active-duty Military Spouses new to corporate experience. Interns will contribute to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) projects in a dynamic Seattle team. Gain hands-on software engineering experience while receiving mentorship and support for a seamless transition to civilian careers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software components for OCI services using Java, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable cloud solutions.
• Debug and resolve issues in distributed systems and microservices.
• Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Analyze performance metrics and optimize system efficiency.
• Document technical designs and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Support integration of new features into production environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
• US Veteran transitioning from active service or active-duty Military Spouse (preferred).
• Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++).
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts or Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
