Position Overview

The Oracle Cloud PaaS Technical Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position demands strong leadership to guide technical teams, exceptional communication to foster customer relationships, and deep expertise in SaaS applications and OCI/PaaS technologies. You will architect end-to-end cloud solutions that drive customer success, optimize business processes, and leverage the full capabilities of Oracle's cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of Oracle Cloud PaaS solutions, including integration with OCI services and SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with customers to assess business needs and translate them into robust technical architectures.
• Guide development teams in implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance PaaS deployments.
• Conduct technical workshops and demonstrations to showcase OCI/PaaS capabilities and best practices.
• Manage customer relationships by providing strategic advice on SaaS functionality, processes, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and reference architectures to validate solution feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and industry regulations in all designs.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers on Oracle Cloud technologies and architectural patterns.
• Drive continuous improvement by staying ahead of emerging PaaS trends and contributing to Oracle's solution portfolio.
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, solution blueprints, and cost-benefit analyses for customer engagements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or PaaS services.
• Proven expertise in Oracle SaaS applications, including Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, or SCM modules.
• Strong understanding of PaaS technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Process Automation, and Visual Builder.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional technical teams and customer engagements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with cloud migration, hybrid architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and workshops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Cloud certifications such as OCI Architect Professional or PaaS specialist credentials.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments or competitive PaaS platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of industry-specific solutions (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing).
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale PaaS implementations with measurable business impact.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) in OCI.
