Position Overview

As a Principal Applications Engineer at Oracle in Bengaluru, you will lead the development of full-stack enterprise applications, leveraging your expertise in Core Java, JavaScript, J2EE, and modern web technologies. This role offers the opportunity to architect scalable solutions for Oracle's cloud platforms, collaborating with elite engineering teams to deliver high-impact products. With 6-12 years of experience, you will mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications using Core Java, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL for Oracle's enterprise cloud services
• Architect scalable, high-performance systems to support large-scale data processing and user interactions
• Lead end-to-end development cycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and optimization
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define and refine technical specifications
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integrations for robust application functionality
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices for code quality and maintainability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical applications
• Optimize application performance through profiling, caching strategies, and database query tuning
• Integrate security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption protocols
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive iterative improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6-12 years of professional experience as a full-stack developer with Core Java and J2EE
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases, with experience in Oracle Database preferred
• Proven track record of building and deploying scalable web applications in production environments
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms like AWS/Azure
• Familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.js for building responsive user interfaces
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools
• Contributions to open-source projects or relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Java, OCI)
