Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced Principal Applied Scientist (IC4) to join our Gen AI and AI Solutions engineering team in Bengaluru. You will build cutting-edge Agentic solutions for high-impact customers, leveraging advanced AI to drive product development. Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI systems using generative AI models for OCI products.
• Lead end-to-end AI solution engineering, from prototyping to production deployment.
• Collaborate with product teams to define requirements for high-impact customer solutions.
• Conduct applied research on large language models and multimodal AI technologies.
• Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
• Mentor junior scientists and engineers on best practices in AI development.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools and frameworks into OCI ecosystem.
• Drive innovation by publishing research and contributing to open-source AI projects.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field; 8+ years of experience.
• Proven expertise in generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT).
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI models at scale in cloud platforms like OCI/AWS/GCP.
• Track record of delivering production AI solutions for enterprise customers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
