Oracle is seeking a Principal Applied Scientist to advance cutting-edge computer vision research within our innovative AI team. You will lead the development of state-of-the-art models to solve real-world challenges in image recognition, object detection, and generative vision technologies. Responsibilities

  • Lead research and development of novel computer vision algorithms and models.
  • Design, prototype, and deploy scalable vision systems for production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into Oracle products.
  • Mentor junior scientists and engineers in advanced CV techniques.
  • Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Evaluate and benchmark state-of-the-art vision models like transformers and diffusion models.
  • Drive innovation in areas such as 3D vision, video understanding, and multimodal AI.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and Oracle's AI research community.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in computer vision.
  • Proven track record of publications in CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, or similar venues.
  • Expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and vision libraries (OpenCV, Detectron2).
  • Strong experience with large-scale model training and deployment on cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and GPU-accelerated computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex research projects.
