Overview
Oracle is seeking a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer to serve as a technical leader within our business analytics team. In this role, you will independently architect, develop, and deploy CI/CD pipelines that power analytics, data science, and business intelligence across the organization. You will leverage Oracle’s industry-leading cloud and data technologies to deliver robust and scalable data solutions while mentoring junior engineers and influencing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related tools.
- Design and deploy data pipelines for analytics, data science, and business intelligence workloads.
- Optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, or similar for cloud environments.
- Lead automation efforts to ensure reliable, high-performance data processing at scale.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of DevOps best practices across teams.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate ML models into production pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance pipeline performance using observability tools.
- Influence technical strategy and contribute to open-source or internal tool development.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or data infrastructure roles.
- Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure with focus on data services.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or OCI DevOps, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong experience with data pipeline technologies (Apache Airflow, Kafka, Spark).
- Deep knowledge of IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
