Overview

Oracle's Principal Data Center Site Planner leads the strategic planning and development of data center sites to support scalable cloud infrastructure. This role manages the full lifecycle of site selection, design, and implementation in Seattle, WA. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, sustainable, and high-performance data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site selection and acquisition processes for new data center locations.
• Develop and manage site planning strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams for seamless implementation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and environmental impact analyses.
• Oversee budgeting, timelines, and vendor contracts for site development projects.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards.
• Optimize site designs for energy efficiency, scalability, and redundancy.
• Monitor project progress and provide executive-level reporting and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data center site planning or facilities management.
• Proven track record managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data center technologies, power systems, and cooling solutions.
• Excellent project management skills with PMP certification a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for site visits and stakeholder meetings.
