Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Financial Analyst in FP&A to serve as a strategic business partner to our North America Sales teams. In this role, you will lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling efforts to drive informed decision-making and support revenue growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast sales performance, revenue, and expenses for NA Sales teams
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to analyze pipeline data, deal progression, and win/loss trends
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize sales compensation plans and territory management
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports for senior management and finance reviews
  • Conduct variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, identifying key drivers and risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Ops, Revenue Recognition, and Product teams, to ensure data accuracy
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements in FP&A methodologies
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses for strategic initiatives, M&A evaluations, and pricing strategies
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sales efficiency and profitability

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably in sales finance or SaaS/technology sectors
  • Proven expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling using Excel and financial planning tools
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and revenue recognition principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions) and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into business insights
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to senior executives and influencing stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related discipline
  • Experience with FP&A software such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Oracle EPM
  • Prior exposure to cloud/SaaS revenue models and sales compensation design
  • CPA, CFA, or similar professional certification
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis
