Overview

We are seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Cost Strategist to own the financial performance of our OCI infrastructure. This pivotal role manages and models significant CapEx and OpEx for cloud environments, data centers, and network operations. You will develop sophisticated cost models to inform strategic decisions, major investments, and large-scale client/vendor pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain advanced CapEx/OpEx cost models for OCI infrastructure.
• Analyze cloud spending trends and forecast financial impacts of infrastructure scaling.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to optimize data center and network costs.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through vendor negotiations and pricing strategies.
• Provide financial insights for executive-level strategic decisions and investments.
• Model pricing structures for large-scale client and vendor deals.
• Monitor and report on infrastructure financial performance metrics.
• Lead cross-functional projects to enhance cost efficiency in cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial analysis, with focus on cloud infrastructure or tech CapEx/OpEx.
• Expertise in cost modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Python, or financial software).
• Strong understanding of cloud economics, data centers, and network operations.
• Proven track record in strategic financial planning and deal pricing.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to handle complex datasets.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
