Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services for the Clinical Digital Assistant platform.
- Lead architecture decisions for high-performance, cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML models into clinical workflows.
- Implement robust APIs and data pipelines to handle real-time healthcare data at petabyte scale.
- Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Mentor senior engineers and conduct code reviews to uphold engineering excellence.
- Partner with product and clinical teams to translate healthcare requirements into technical solutions.
- Champion security, HIPAA compliance, and best practices in all backend development.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in backend software engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven track record building high-throughput services in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with healthcare standards (HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR) highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
