Overview

Join a rapidly expanding engineering team in Nashville working on critical Compute services in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cloud Compute Organization. As Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will lead the design and development of high-scale, distributed systems powering OCI's cloud compute platform. Collaborate with top engineers to innovate and deliver reliable infrastructure for global customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of scalable cloud compute services in OCI.
• Design and optimize distributed systems for high availability and performance.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.
• Develop and maintain core compute infrastructure using modern cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers to define and deliver strategic roadmaps.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues in petabyte-scale environments.
• Contribute to open-source projects and industry standards in cloud computing.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, and system performance analysis.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or container orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Java, Go, or Python for large-scale systems.
• Proven track record leading high-impact projects in production cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with system debugging at scale.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
