Overview

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will design, build, and operate large-scale distributed cloud systems focused on reliability, scalability, and security. Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, highly available distributed cloud systems.
  • Build and optimize core infrastructure components for OCI services.
  • Ensure system reliability through advanced monitoring and fault-tolerant designs.
  • Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-facing features.
  • Drive innovation in cloud security and performance optimization.
  • Operate production systems at massive scale with minimal downtime.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and technical publications.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with distributed systems.
  • Expertise in modern languages like Java, Go, Python, or C++.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Proven track record of building scalable, reliable production systems.
  • Strong experience with system reliability, observability, and security.
  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills in diverse teams.
