Overview

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff (IC4) in OCI/GEN AI/ML, you will design and implement scalable, distributed systems for training multimodal and video foundation models at scale. Collaborate with applied scientists, ML engineers, and software teams to deliver performant, reliable AI infrastructure and models. Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed training systems for large-scale multimodal and video foundation models.
• Optimize infrastructure for high-performance AI model training and inference.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to integrate ML models into production environments.
• Develop tools for efficient data pipelines and model orchestration at scale.
• Drive performance tuning and reliability improvements in AI workloads.
• Architect fault-tolerant systems handling massive datasets and compute resources.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps.
• Stay ahead of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and apply them to OCI platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and large-scale training.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Deep knowledge of GPU/TPU optimization and parallel computing.
• Experience with multimodal AI models (vision, video, language).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and track record of delivering high-impact projects.
