Position Overview

Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and take ownership of game-changing data center projects that power the global cloud revolution. This high-impact role puts you at the center of multi-million dollar construction initiatives, managing cutting-edge infrastructure delivery from concept to completion. You'll work with executive-level stakeholders, lead top-tier vendor relationships, and drive strategic projects that directly fuel Oracle's explosive growth—all with exceptional autonomy and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for data center construction and delivery, from site selection and design through commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies for multi-million-dollar initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders, engineering teams, and procurement to align project goals with OCI's global expansion objectives.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and driving performance to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress using advanced tools and methodologies, delivering regular status reports and escalating issues to senior leadership.
  • Implement sustainable construction practices and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations across all sites.
  • Conduct site inspections, resolve on-site challenges, and coordinate commissioning activities to achieve operational readiness on schedule.
  • Foster cross-functional teamwork to integrate mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure requirements seamlessly.
  • Drive continuous process improvements, leveraging lessons learned to optimize future data center delivery projects.
  • Prepare and present business cases, ROI analyses, and post-project reviews to demonstrate project success and value.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification required.
  • 10+ years of experience in data center construction, infrastructure development, or large-scale project management.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-million-dollar construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of data center critical systems, including power, cooling, networking, and security infrastructure.
  • Expertise in project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar, with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience handling international suppliers and contracts.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to project sites as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or advanced certifications like LEED, Six Sigma, or data center-specific credentials.
  • Experience with hyperscale data center projects in cloud service providers (CSPs) or Fortune 500 environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure technologies or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects under aggressive timelines in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
  • Knowledge of global construction regulations, supply chain logistics, and sustainable building practices.
