The Machine Learning Research Group at Oracle is seeking an outstanding PhD researcher with expertise in recommender systems to join our research team in Burlington, MA. As a Principal Research Scientist, you will lead cutting-edge projects in recommender systems and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop state-of-the-art recommender systems for Oracle's cloud platforms.
• Lead research initiatives to advance ML algorithms for personalization and recommendation.
• Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy research prototypes into production.
• Mentor junior researchers and interns in recommender systems.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate and optimize recommendation models at scale.
• Explore emerging techniques like deep learning, reinforcement learning, and federated learning for recommendations.
• Contribute to open-source projects and represent Oracle at industry events.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in recommender systems research or industry.
• Strong publication record in venues like RecSys, KDD, NeurIPS, or ICML.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with real-world deployment of ML models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
