Position Overview

Oracle is seeking an experienced Principal Robotics & Web Automation Engineer to help drive the next generation of intelligent factory automation. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced robotic process automation (RPA) and web automation solutions to streamline Oracle's manufacturing and operational workflows. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role at this time; no candidates requiring visa sponsorship will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable robotics and web automation frameworks for intelligent factory systems and enterprise workflows.
• Develop and deploy RPA bots using tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or custom Python-based solutions to automate repetitive tasks.
• Build robust web automation scripts with Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright to interact with web applications and APIs seamlessly.
• Integrate automation solutions with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and internal systems for real-time data processing and decision-making.
• Lead the optimization and maintenance of automation pipelines, ensuring high reliability, error handling, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to define automation requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, implement best practices for CI/CD, and mentor junior engineers on automation standards.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues in production environments and develop proactive monitoring solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies in robotics, AI-driven automation, and web scraping to drive innovation.
• Document automation processes, create user guides, and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years focused on robotics process automation (RPA) and web automation.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java for building automation scripts and bots.
• Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and web automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Puppeteer).
• Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and browser automation challenges.
• Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker) for deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and collaborate in agile environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex automation workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms for automation integration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for intelligent automation enhancements.
• Knowledge of industrial robotics protocols (e.g., ROS, PLC integration) for factory automation.
• Certifications in RPA tools (UiPath Certified Developer, Automation Anywhere ACE).
• Prior experience in manufacturing or supply chain automation projects.
