Responsibilities

• Optimize performance and reliability of IBM Mainframe, zLinux, DB2, zVM, and AIX systems.
• Manage and troubleshoot complex mainframe configurations and environments.
• Diagnose and resolve cross-team operational issues in production systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to implement reliability improvements.
• Develop automation scripts and tools for mainframe operations and monitoring.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for high-availability systems.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis for critical outages.
• Mentor junior engineers on mainframe SRE best practices and technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering with IBM Mainframe expertise.
• Deep knowledge of zLinux, DB2, zVM, and AIX operating systems.
• Proven track record in performance optimization and capacity planning.
• Strong scripting skills (REXX, JCL, Python) and automation experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms for mainframes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration experience.
