Overview

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks as a Principal Software Developer in DevOps Automation at Oracle. Drive automation initiatives to enhance cloud infrastructure efficiency and scalability. US Citizenship is required for this role based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable DevOps automation pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Oracle CI.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes for Oracle Cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize database performance, applications, tools, and network systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to automate deployment processes and ensure zero-downtime releases.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices in automation engineering.
• Integrate security practices (DevSecOps) into CI/CD pipelines and automate compliance checks.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with focus on DevOps and automation.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or Java for automation scripting.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC tools.
• US Citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance.
