Overview

Principal Software Engineer (IC4) in OCI Technical Strategy & Oversight Organization, focusing on Networking Data Plane. Develop high-performance networking solutions using C/C++, DPU, DPDK, and RDMA technologies. Drive technical strategy and oversight for OCI's scalable cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance networking data plane components using C/C++ on DPUs.
• Optimize DPDK and RDMA-based solutions for ultra-low latency and high throughput in OCI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy for networking infrastructure.
• Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance tuning initiatives.
• Prototype and validate new networking technologies for cloud-scale deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues in production environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source networking projects.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in smart NICs, DPUs, and cloud networking.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in systems programming with C/C++ in high-performance environments.
• Deep expertise in DPDK, RDMA, and DPU/smart NIC programming.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RoCE) and kernel bypass techniques.
• Proven track record of delivering production networking systems at cloud scale.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with performance profiling tools.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
