Overview

Join Oracle’s Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team as a Principal Software Development Engineer - AI Data Platform. Design and develop software systems powering generative AI, large language models, and real-time analytics at scale using Oracle AI Data Platform and OCI. Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers to deliver innovative, secure solutions for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable AI data platforms leveraging OCI for generative AI and LLMs.
• Design high-performance systems for real-time analytics and large-scale data processing.
• Develop secure, reliable software solutions tailored to enterprise customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmaps.
• Optimize AI/ML pipelines for performance, cost-efficiency, and fault tolerance.
• Integrate Oracle Cloud services with customer data ecosystems and workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices across the team.
• Engage directly with customers to deploy and iterate on forward-deployed solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI).
• Strong expertise in AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, or data platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or C++ with distributed systems design.
• Experience building scalable, high-availability systems for enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containers (Kubernetes), and data pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-facing technical experience.
