Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) architecture development engineering team seeks a Principal Software Engineer for AI GPU Innovation in Seattle, WA. You will evaluate, prototype, and optimize cutting-edge AI hardware, accelerators, and custom AI chips to drive next-gen Cloud AI Infrastructure. Join our forefront team advancing AI innovation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and benchmark next-generation AI accelerators and GPU hardware for OCI platforms.
• Prototype software systems for custom-designed AI chips and high-performance computing environments.
• Optimize drivers, firmware, and runtime software for AI workloads on cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors to integrate and validate AI hardware solutions.
• Develop tools and frameworks to enhance AI model training and inference performance.
• Design scalable software architectures for GPU clusters in OCI's AI supercomputing environments.
• Lead performance tuning and debugging of complex AI systems at scale.
• Contribute to research and innovation in AI hardware-software co-design for cloud.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Expertise in GPU programming (CUDA, ROCm) and AI accelerator software development.
• Strong experience with Linux kernel, drivers, and system-level optimization.
• Proven track record in high-performance computing and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and hardware-software integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in fast-paced environments.
