Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable big data processing pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop ecosystems.
• Lead development of high-performance data ingestion, transformation, and analytics systems.
• Optimize distributed systems for healthcare data workloads, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput.
• Collaborate with product teams to define and implement data platform roadmaps.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive technical best practices across the organization.
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and observability for production data systems.
• Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines for real-time healthcare insights.
• Contribute to open-source projects and represent Oracle in the big data community.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in big data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka).
• Deep expertise in distributed systems design and optimization at petabyte scale.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven track record leading high-impact engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in Java/Scala/Python and modern software development practices (CI/CD, TDD).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
