We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer - OpenSearch to join our talented team in Seattle, WA. You will design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable large-scale distributed cloud services for OpenSearch. Responsibilities
- Design and architect high-performance distributed systems for OpenSearch.
- Develop scalable cloud services using Java and related technologies.
- Implement secure, reliable solutions following industry best practices.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on development standards.
- Optimize search indexing, querying, and aggregation performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps.
- Drive CI/CD pipelines, testing, and automated deployment processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues in large-scale environments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar search engines.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Proven track record building scalable, high-availability services.
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
