As Principal Software Engineer, Storage, you will lead architecture and hands-on development across distributed processing, transactions, consensus, and storage engines. Thrive at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, database internals, and cloud platforms to advance the state of the art.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design for high-performance distributed storage systems.
• Develop and optimize storage engines for AI workloads.
• Implement distributed transactions and consensus protocols.
• Drive innovation in scalable data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud platform integration.
• Prototype and validate new storage technologies at scale.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in distributed systems and database engineering.
• Deep expertise in storage engines and file systems.
• Strong C++/Rust programming skills for systems-level development.
• Proven track record leading large-scale system architecture.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and AI/ML workloads.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
