Position Overview

The Private Equity Practice Lead will spearhead Oracle's strategic engagement with private equity firms, building long-term relationships with named accounts and vertical business alliance partners. This role focuses on driving Oracle's cloud and SaaS solutions adoption within the private equity ecosystem, fostering portfolio company growth, and unlocking new revenue opportunities. Based in Chicago, IL, you will collaborate with sales, product, and partner teams to position Oracle as the preferred technology partner for PE-backed enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key private equity firms and their portfolio companies to drive Oracle cloud adoption and revenue growth
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-suite executives at named PE accounts and vertical partners through targeted engagement and value demonstration
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions addressing PE-specific challenges like portfolio optimization, M&A integration, and operational efficiency
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private equity ecosystem, collaborating with Oracle sales and alliance teams
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, ROI analyses, and case studies showcasing Oracle's impact on PE portfolio performance
  • Facilitate joint go-to-market strategies with alliance partners to co-sell Oracle solutions into PE portfolios
  • Track and report on practice metrics, including pipeline development, win rates, and partner engagement to senior leadership
  • Champion Oracle's Private Equity Practice at industry events, webinars, and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership
  • Mentor and coach junior team members on PE market dynamics and Oracle value propositions
  • Stay abreast of PE industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and positioning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategic alliance management within enterprise software/technology
  • Proven track record of building and managing relationships with PE firms and their portfolio companies
  • Deep understanding of private equity value creation strategies, due diligence processes, and portfolio operations
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience driving multi-million-dollar deals and revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence executive stakeholders
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and pipeline management methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically to meet with partners and attend industry events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience working at or with a top-tier private equity firm (e.g., Blackstone, KKR, Carlyle)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Fusion Cloud Applications, or NetSuite
  • Existing network within the Midwest PE community and national PE associations
  • Advanced certifications in sales, partner management, or cloud technologies
  • Experience leading practice development or go-to-market initiatives in a tech company
