Overview

We are seeking a Remote Senior AI/AIOps Engineer in Mexico to join our AI Data Platform team, building a modern, scalable Lakehouse architecture using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) native services. You will lead the design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines and govern the full lifecycle of structured, semi-structured, and real-time datasets. This role combines data engineering expertise with AI/ML innovation in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of scalable Lakehouse architecture using OCI services like Object Storage, ADW, and ATP.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.
• Govern full dataset lifecycle including ingestion, transformation, cataloging, and quality assurance.
• Develop AIOps solutions integrating ML models for anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize AI/ML models in production environments.
• Optimize data platform performance, cost, and reliability using OCI monitoring and automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in cloud-native data engineering.
• Implement data security, compliance, and governance frameworks across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data engineering with cloud platforms, preferably OCI.
• Expertise in building data lakes/lakehouses with tools like Delta Lake, Iceberg, or OCI ADW.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, Kafka, and SQL for data processing pipelines.
• Experience with AI/ML ops, MLOps frameworks, and model deployment.
• Deep knowledge of OCI services (Object Storage, Data Flow, Streaming, Functions).
• Proven track record of production-scale data platform delivery and optimization.
