Overview

We are seeking an Automation-Focused Detection Engineer with strong expertise in pipeline engineering, workflow automation, and detection lifecycle orchestration. Security knowledge is helpful, but automation engineering is the primary requirement. You will develop large-scale automated systems for detection deployment, validation, enrichment, and tuning across Oracle’s SaaS/cloud ecosystem, collaborating across Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Threat Intelligence to deliver adaptive and low-noise detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automation pipelines for detection deployment and lifecycle management.
• Develop workflows for automated detection validation, enrichment, and performance tuning.
• Orchestrate detection systems across Oracle’s SaaS and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Threat Intelligence teams.
• Implement low-noise, adaptive detection capabilities at scale.
• Automate monitoring and alerting for detection system health and efficacy.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for rapid iteration on detection logic.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to enhance security automation tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automation engineering, pipeline development, or DevOps roles.
• Expertise in workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and SaaS architectures.
• Proficiency in CI/CD practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc.).
• Understanding of security detection principles; SIEM or analytics experience a plus.
