Overview

We’re looking for a Security Engineer 5 in Romania who blends deep security research with hands-on detection engineering. You’ll turn threat intelligence into high-signal detections, use AI/ML to supercharge analysis, and partner across engineering to harden our SaaS/cloud environment. Your work will shift us from reactive monitoring to adaptive, risk-based defenses, measured by reduced exposure and faster response times.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced security research to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and deploy high-signal detections from threat intelligence feeds.
• Leverage AI/ML models to enhance threat detection and anomaly analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to secure SaaS and cloud infrastructures.
• Design adaptive, risk-based defense mechanisms with clear success metrics.
• Optimize monitoring pipelines for reduced false positives and faster triage.
• Perform red team exercises and simulate attacks to test defenses.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, with focus on detection and response.
• Expertise in AI/ML for security analytics and threat hunting.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and SaaS security.
• Proficiency in SIEM tools, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Hands-on skills in Python, scripting, and automation for security tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
