Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Advanced Services Engineer in Singapore to lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle's advanced technologies and products. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert, ensuring seamless deployment and optimization of Oracle solutions for enterprise clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to customer success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Database, and Fusion Middleware products for enterprise customers.
• Perform system tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability of Oracle technologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex technical issues and implement proactive solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with customer IT teams and Oracle product development to customize and integrate Oracle solutions with existing environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration scripts, and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during project delivery phases.
• Execute upgrades, patches, and migrations for Oracle products while minimizing downtime and business impact.
• Monitor system health using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other diagnostic tools, generating reports for stakeholders.
• Participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations and technical workshops to showcase Oracle capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all deployments and configurations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 5 years focused on Oracle technologies such as OCI, Oracle Database, or WebLogic Server.
• Proven expertise in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting for automation.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts in enterprise environments.
• Experience with high-availability clustering, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for Oracle products.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges under pressure.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for customer engagements.
• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications such as OCP, OCM, or OCI Architect Professional.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, engineered systems, or Autonomous Database deployments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of Java, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX for custom development and integration.
• Prior experience in consulting or professional services roles within Fortune 500 environments.
