Overview

Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. As a Senior Autonomous Database Engineer at Oracle, you will optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for high-performance autonomous databases. This role is open only to Singapore Citizens due to government project clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Autonomous Database instances in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance and scalability issues.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Terraform, Ansible, and Oracle APIs.
• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on government cloud projects.
• Monitor database health using Oracle Cloud tools and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for autonomous databases.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Singapore Citizen (mandatory for security clearance).
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration, including Autonomous Database.
• Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-native services.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with government stakeholders.
