Overview

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for Oracle's Big Data Service. Build scalable big data platforms to support high-performance data processing and analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable big data architectures using Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed systems.
• Integrate big data platforms with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Automate deployment and monitoring using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Terraform.
• Performance tune big data workloads for cost-efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers to define platform requirements and roadmaps.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source big data projects.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of big data experience.
• Expertise in Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and distributed computing frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Proven track record of production-grade big data system deployments.
