Overview

Due to rapid growth, Oracle GDI – Government, Defense & Intelligence, is hiring a Senior Cloud Solution Architect for a hybrid role in Washington, DC. The expert will formulate and lead presales technical/functional support activities for prospective clients. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction while driving cloud solutions in government, defense, and intelligence sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead presales technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for Oracle Cloud solutions.
• Architect cloud-based solutions tailored to government, defense, and intelligence client needs.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop winning technical proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Provide expert guidance on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), SaaS, and PaaS offerings.
• Conduct workshops and knowledge sessions for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, IL levels).
• Support customer success post-sale through solution optimization and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to thought leadership in cloud architecture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with 5+ years on Oracle Cloud or AWS/Azure.
• Proven track record in presales for government/defense clients.
• Deep expertise in OCI services, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of federal compliance (FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC).
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Architect Professional).
