Overview

The Senior Data Engineer / Analyst is a hands-on role blending deep technical expertise in modern data engineering with strong analytical and consulting skills. This position focuses on building real-time data pipelines, implementing scalable data mesh architectures, and developing analytical solutions that drive business insights. You will design data solutions for analytics and ML use cases, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain real-time data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools and frameworks.
• Implement scalable data mesh architectures to enable decentralized data ownership and governance.
• Develop and model data products supporting analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence use cases.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and quality through robust validation and monitoring processes.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and querying for performance in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Deliver greenfield data initiatives and provide consulting on data strategy and best practices.
• Drive data-driven decision-making by creating actionable insights and visualizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in real-time streaming (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mesh principles, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.
