Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases for classified intelligence systems.
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring to meet stringent SLAs.
• Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for high-availability environments.
• Implement security controls, including encryption, access management, and compliance with DoD standards.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues in 24/7 mission-critical operations.
• Automate database tasks using scripting (PL/SQL, shell, Python) and Oracle tools.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to support data-driven intelligence missions.
• Stay current with Oracle innovations and apply patches/upgrades in secure environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in government/defense environments.
• Expertise in Oracle 19c/21c, RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
• Strong knowledge of database security (RBAC, auditing, STIGs).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and performance tools (AWR, ADDM).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
